"Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares. She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words: “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scorners delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge." (Proverbs 1:20-22 NKJV)
He reveals that while wisdom is covertly hidden, it is openly available to everyone who seeks, being found in the most prominent of public venues. One should note that an idle mind devoid of wisdom brings on to sin. Wisdom is a gift from God to those who diligently seek, and we must pray to receive it. Only a fool will turn away from the knowledge and wisdom of God. Three types are called to hear wisdom: (1) the simple or naïve or ignorant; (2) the scorners or mockers; and (3) the fools or obstinate unbelievers, who shun the truth.
Scripture says - "God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. But if a sinner becomes wealthy, God takes the wealth away and gives it to those who please him. This, too, is meaningless—like chasing the wind." (Ecclesiastes 2:26 NLT)
