When God says…
“A divine sentence is in the lips of the king: his mouth transgresseth not in judgment.” (Proverbs 16:10 KJV)
Every judgment call that has enormous impact must be done with divine direction. Decisions of kings that affect kingdoms or nations and its people should be prayed for, and stamped with the authority of God’s Word. Most especially, those which have serious ramifications on people's lives and eternal destiny must not transgress the divine justice of God.
That goes true with our personal decisions, as well. It must not be made lightly and haphazardly. Rather, it must be made in light of God's word and guidance of the Holy Spirit by faith in Jesus. Every decision we make determines our quality of living and fate. And, it can shake the lives of those who we care and care about us. So, for us all, this passage is reminding that our decision calls ought to be executed under the counsel of our Sovereign King - The King of Glory!
What king is considered here? Who? Not just any king, but rather the only Mighty and Righteous King – our Good, Good Father!
There is only one truly righteous King whose name is above all names. His name is Jesus! Divine proclamation is in His lips. He never transgresses in judgment. He rules the universe, and He is coming soon to judge the world. He is the Blessed and Only Potentate! “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.” (Matthew 25:41 NIV)
And I say, AMEN!
