When God says...
"Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding; For I give you good doctrine: Do not forsake my law." (Proverbs 4:1, 2 NKJV)
We are instructed to pay attention to the teachings of God's laws our parents gave, which we too must pass on to our children. Those are good doctrine to guide us in our walk with God. His law sets boundaries between what gives life and what takes life away. Kept activated, it sets off an alert when we stray to the edges of danger. His law is not a list of don'ts to take away our joy. Because of His love the law is given to keep us safe and victorious.
Apostle John reminds us with these words - "Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. For every child of God defeats this evil world. And we achieve this victory through our faith. (1 John 5:3, 4 NLT)
And I say, AMEN!
