The Gospel of Luke 15:20 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20 KJV).

This analogy gives a profound revelation of God’s grace and love, showing that He is not waiting to condemn, but is longing to embrace and restore sinners. The Father running to the prodigal son signifies His active, loving pursuit of us, welcoming us with unconditional love and grace despite our failures. This is such a touching display of grace over guilt, the father does not wait for apology speech that his son prepared. He runs to the son, kisses him, and embraces him tightly on his neck, showing how God removes our guilt, not heaps it on us.

This passage shows us that our father is in active pursuit of us. Seeing his son while he was "still a long way off," reveals that God is always watching the horizon and waiting for us to turn to Him. He is eagerly waiting to restore us. His love and compassion, aims to show us that His grace always exceeds our failures. This assures us that when we return to God, He meets us with love rather than condemnation. All we need to do is rise up from where, and whatever state we are in.

This is therefore your cue. Rise up as you are. No make overs of religious rituals and pious acts of penance. Just turn around back to the Father. He is watching the horizons for you to return. He loves you and us all! He is patiently waiting, as it is written: “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
