When God says...
"For at the window of my house I looked through my lattice, And saw among the simple, I perceived among the youths, A young man devoid of understanding, Passing along the street near her corner; And he took the path to her house In the twilight, in the evening, In the black and dark night." (Proverbs 7:6-9 NKJV)
Through Solomon's eyes of experience, He shows how the dance of seduction is played in a wild nature of youth. A naivete young man, seemingly innocent, walks in the red-light district in his young thrill-seeking mind. He stumbles into a seductress' doorstep - a trap in darkness. That is a scene of a person walking without the light and direction of wisdom. He gropes in the dark not seeing where he goes- with snares everywhere.
We need God's word as compass to stay in the right path. Let the Holy Spirit lead us away from the house of the trapper. The world and the streets where we live are dark. We need light. We need Jesus, not religion. As He declared - "I have come as a Light into the world, so that whoever believes in Me [whoever cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] may not continue to live in darkness. (John 12:46 AMP)
