Proverbs 21:29 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

“A wicked man hardens his face, But as for the upright, he establishes his way.” (Proverbs 21:29 NKJV)

He reminds us with the contrasting attributes between the wicked and the upright. No one can change the opinion of the wicked. He is headstrong in his wrong ways. He goes against the direction set by God's commands. The sad thing is he thinks he is right in his own set of standard which makes him difficult to redirect and reroute in his ways. He is obstinate. He keeps what suits him without regard for others or the truth or the Lord. As all wicked people are, he is destined for destruction, as it is written: "But transgressors shall be altogether destroyed; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.” (Psalm 37:38 ESV)

That is not how we ought to be. We have been made upright by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Making sure we accepted Him our Savior, in Him we are put right in His eyes that we may set our ways by His words and by the promptings of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. Truly when we surrender our hearts to Him, He will lead us in the path to life. His words soften our hearts to His will as He ushers us to proceed with integrity in our walk. He promised to position us in the way of being upright, as it is written: "The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way; though he fall, he shall not be cast headlong, for the Lord upholds his hand.” (Psalm 37:23, 24 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!
