The Gospel of Luke 10:33-34 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, and went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.” (Luke 10:33-34 KJV).

On the same road the man was robbed, a Samaritan was traveling as well, the Lord Jesus continues on the parable. The exact opposite to the Priest and the Levite, he is an outsider of the Jewish religion being a Samaritan. This is pointing to the Lord Jesus Christ. The man in this parable, who’s beaten and left for half-dead by robbers, represents the fallen humanity - spiritually wounded and unable to save itself. The Lord Jesus is the ultimate Good Samaritan who rescues humanity from sin and spiritual death.

The religious leaders (the Priest and the Levite) passed by with no attempt to help, but the Samaritan—an outsider despised by the religious Jews—was filled with compassion. This accentuates that the Lord Jesus is similarly treated an "outsider" and despised by the religious establishment of His day, yet He was the only one who could provide true rescue. The Samaritan who represents the Lord Jesus "bound up the beaten man’s wounds, poured in oil and wine". In the New Covenant of grace, the oil often symbolizes the Holy Spirit and anointing, while the wine represents the blood of Christ or the joy of the Lord, bringing healing and disinfection from sin.

The Samaritan "set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him". This highlights the Lord's compassionate personal care, bringing us to a place of rest and recovery in the house and presence of God. The Samaritan, representing the Lord Jesus, paid the price for the man's full recovery ("I'll pay you on my way back"). This symbolizes the Lord’s finished work on the cross, where He fully paid the price for our sins and promises to return. It is written: ““Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.” (John 14:1-3 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!

Thanks God to HIS finish work at the cross .
Now to all have faith in our LORD JESUS CHRIST have eternal life.
But like the parables we need to Preach the GOSPEL to destroy Satan's work in the lives of many people , beaten them , rob them , destroy them , we believe JESUS is working with us to save them by going , preaching the GOSPEL and make disciples to make disciples.
