Proverbs 10:26 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"As vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So is the lazy man to those who send him." (Proverbs 10:26 NKJV)

This reminds us that slothfulness is as irritating and exasperating as a suffocating smoke to the eye and the sour of vinegar to the teeth. It is a destructive habit. It destroys relationship, harmony, prosperity, joy and peace. It is the cause of poverty. People with this nature are unfit for any task. They can't follow instructions and won't deliver a simple errand. They are a liability to business and society - a drain to resources.

They are the exact contrast to a true believer in Jesus. A godly servant is faithful to his master as unto God. To the indolent and sluggish, Apostle Paul exhorts this message: - "Don’t you remember the rule we had when we lived with you? “If you don’t work, you don’t eat.” And now we’re getting reports that a bunch of lazy good-for-nothings are taking advantage of you. This must not be tolerated. We command them to get to work immediately—no excuses, no arguments—and earn their own keep. Friends, don’t slack off in doing your duty. (2 Thessalonians 3:10-13 MSG)

And I say, AMEN!
