Proverbs 11:15 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"He who is surety for a stranger will suffer, But one who hates being surety is secure." (Proverbs 11: 15 NKJV)

He gives a warning for wise stewardship, knowing that we and all we have are God's. We are just stewards of it - our lives and possessions. We are cautioned not to rush in rash deals with strangers. Wise and prayerful attitude is important. Unscrupulous characters are everywhere to trap unsuspecting men who has a heart eager to help. Our measure to help is what we have. We are not to help with anything that binds others to be burdened by it, like surety on a debt. It affects your heirs. First of all, indebtedness beyond our capacity is unwise in plain business measures, most of all in the sight of God. Dependence on debt instead of God has unpleasant consequences.

In situations like that, we are to move away from it towards dependence upon The Lord. He will give us wisdom where and how to make adjustments wisely. If we readjust our way of living by putting God on the right place which is the # 1 spot in every aspect of our life, every other aspects of our life will be blessed. We will start moving out of the bondage of debt and surety the right way - God's way. First step is: Let's seek His Kingdom. The Kingdom is at hand in Jesus. Let's let Him in our hearts. He promised with this imperative call - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 NIV)

When we give Jesus the First place in our life and do things right for His glory, by grace through faith in Him,  Apostle Paul exhorts us with these words of prayer - "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen." (Philippians 4:19, 20 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!
