When God says...
"The merciful man does good for his own soul, But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh." (Proverbs 11:17 NKJV)
He reminds us that one who dispenses mercy will receive mercy. While one who renders cruelty will be rendered with cruelty. 'You reap what you sow.' If you sow kindness, you reap kindness. If you look at a mirror with a grumpy face, you will be met by a grumpy face. As children of God by grace through faith in Jesus, we are to be merciful, as we have been forgiven by His great mercy. We are to live under God's banner of love, recued by His gift of mercy, already washed by His blood from the stain of the cruelty of sin.
Apostle Paul calls on us with these words: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:7-10 NIV)
And I say, AMEN!

(When God says... I say, AMEN! is a provocative reflection of the Lord's holy Word. It intends to challenge every seeker of truth to dig deep into the core of the Word of Life to point every being to Christ Jesus - the author and finisher of our faith, and to draw revelations for change, for nourishment and for strength of every soul.)
