“The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself". (Proverbs 11:25 NKJV)
In another way of the saying, "The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped." (Proverbs 11:25 MSG)
Again, He assures us that if 'We make it our business to take care of God's business, God will make it His business to take of our business.' And... He'll do His part ABUNDANTLY! This is revealed in Apostle Paul's testimonial declarations to the believers in Philippi, as it is written: "Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:15-19 NIV)
The truth of the matter is, God has already done His part through the finished work of Jesus. All we do is posture ourselves to receive it by having a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Not by religion. Only by believing in Him, receive His Lordship in our lives and be Born Again! His Words declare: "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness."(2 Peter 1:3 NIV)
He calls us to be a habitual giver, not taker. And, not by our effort, but by resting in His grace. As our Lord said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35b) Furthermore, the scriptures declare - "Lord Jesus said: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV)
