Proverbs 19:11 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

“The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, And his glory is to overlook a transgression.” (Proverbs 19:11 NKJV)

He gives a very useful life-saving counsel of discretion. It is one that can surely steer your direction away from the trail to jail and the portals of hell. Many who forgo discretion, they snapped in every bit of transgression. They took a ride on indiscretion and ended in incarceration.

Yes, that split second decision to slow down before snapping to anger can make such a big difference between glory or ignominy. We are made aware indiscretion rushes to motions of fury and vexation. Left unchecked, it leads to sin. And, sin leads to regrettable and deadly eternal consequences. 

So, let us walk with discretion, abide in grace through faith in Christ Jesus, who already freed us on the cross from the chain and power of sin. Apostle Paul calls our attention with these words of warning and promise: "But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For, the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:22, 23 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!
