When God says...
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty. Getting treasures by a lying tongue is the fleeting fantasy of those who seek death.” (Proverbs 21:5-6 NKJV)
He reminds us the right way to carry our load and to run our race. We need to plan then execute. Plan is when we put the order of steps to do in such a way convenient to follow for execution. No impulse action. It is said: “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” Wise plan involves cooperation with God by allowing His guidance to have the primary role in the process from start to completion. Yes, that’s how diligence works - be in concert with God’s way in honesty and truth. We must be guided by His holy and written Word and be led by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Rather than plan how to up-end others with deceptive schemes and sweet talks. That’s the enemy’s wicked ploy. It leads to disastrous crash, destruction and death (Proverbs 14:11-12).
Having received the Lordship of Christ Jesus by faith, we are members of His body in His grace. Things of God must dominate our mind. As He enjoins us through Apostle Paul - “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” (Philippians 4:8 NKJV)
And I say, AMEN!
