When God says...
“A youngster’s heart is filled with foolishness, but physical discipline will drive it far away. “(Proverbs 22:15 NLT)
What an amazing reminder! It's right on the spot and at the right moment, as our nation is in a generation of appeasement, as it takes up the challenges of rebellion against the law of God. We are seeing parents stripped of their God-given authority to teach their children God's ways of righteousness. That's orchestrated under the pretext of protecting the children against few abusive parents - creating monsters as a result. If only the godly pillars of our homes are edified and enabled to do their job God's way, there would be more families made whole and lesser abuses in the homes, lesser crimes in our streets and fewer jail cells needed, better safety in our community and deeper peace reigns in our nation. Parents must be allowed to honor their role to guard their children from being filled with fooleries. Discipline aligned with God's Word is a necessity to drive in heavenly values of eternal significance and keep our youths' hearts pure.
Yes, the process of correction could be painful at times. But, it brings redemption that leads to a righteous way of living. In grace by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the scriptures assure these words of promise: "For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.” (Hebrews 12:11 ESV)
And I say, AMEN!
