“Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. If you say, “Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?” (Proverbs 24:11-12 NKJV)
This alerts us that as we come across an opportunity to save the life of a very precious soul headed for destruction, most specially those who are close to our hearts, we are to draw every provision from heaven for their rescue. To restrain help, we are accountable. And, God sees it.
So, each one is called upon to admonish and alert each other in the ways of God's Words. We are to holler upon each other when we go astray to get back to the shield of grace by faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. In His presence, we rest in the newness of life by His resurrection. Whether we are listened to or not, God tasked us all to share His good news of grace and truth to those who are in our proximity.
Those who love us and are in right relationship with God by faith in Jesus, call us out too when we stray. They, who are fellow brethren reborn in spirit, not captives of religious doctrines, are tasked to point us to the truth of God's holy and written Word. It is wise to listen to warning calls from the holy and written Word of God. Let's honor them! Apostle Paul reminds: "Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted." (Galatians 6:1 NIV)
As children of God in Christ Jesus, let us be stirred by this exhortation from Apostle Paul: “We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12-18 ESV)
