The Gospel of Luke 12:27 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Luke 12:27 KJV).

Reemphasizing how important we are to our Creator and Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ highlight the lilies for us to reflect on. The lilies in the field are such a beautiful sight. It displays its beauty for our eyes to see in one moment, then in a flash they’re gone and withered. Then, they recoup in vigor with noone that we can see caring for them. They don’t struggle with so much effort to regrow bearing magnificent flowers again and again. They are a fleeting sight, but God takes care of them by supernaturally providing them nutrients through the ground. So, they display majestic beauty greater than that of King Solomon with all his splendor, for our sight to behold. Yet, in a short while, they’re gone to be a compost soil. They’re nothing, but God takes care of them!

The lesson is: you and I are more precious to God than the lilies. He created us in His own image and likeness (Genesis 1:27). We are designed not just to rot in this world to be mere compost, but to thrive, to flourish and be blessed. Yes, we wear a body that withers and returns to dust. But, we are a spirit that one day returns to God when our earth suit-called body, is taken off (Ecclesiastes 12:7). And, while we are still here in the body, God takes care of us. We just need to rest in His grace by faith in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now, as heirs of grace to Abraham in Christ Jesus by faith, we have God’s blessings to Abraham (Galatians 3:29). We are blessed to bless! The Scriptures declare: “And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”” (Genesis 12:2-3 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
