The Gospel of John 17:14 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” (John 17:14 KJV).

In this passage, the Lord Jesus continues His final prayers for His disciples and by extension to us who followed their steps of faith. He declared that being children of God - born again in Him, as He is, so we are in the world (1 John 4:17). Yes, we are in the world, but we are not of the world. We are set apart the moment the Lord Jesus gave us His Word and we received it by faith. Then, we are hated by the world being not of its own. Hence, the Lord Jesus, preparing to physically depart from the world, entrusted us in the mighty protection of our Father.

We are God's chosen to be His ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20)! He plucked us out of the world to do His Kingdom works which the Lord Jesus proclaimed with warning, and with words of reassurance so we shall endure. It is written: “And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:4-14 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
