The Gospel of John 17:13 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” (John 17:13 KJV).

In this prayer declaration of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is revealed that He is our source of joy! It’s no wonder, that the apostle Paul in his exhortation said, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” (Philippians 4:4-5 NIV). Yes, He is close to us. He came down from heaven, wrapped Himself in human flesh and move in our neighborhood (John 1:14), so that His joy is fulfilled in us.

From the Lord’s birth to his resurrection and to his coming again to take us home to be with Him, while in this world, His is our source of joy. He came to bring the Father’s great love. He came full of grace so we can live victoriously in a hostile world. He’s never forsaken us and will never leave us. He ensured that death cannot separate us from His love. He will return to bring us home. He is our everlasting joy.

Hence, the prophet Nehemiah proclaims that this day we have now in Christ Jesus is holy to our Lord. The joy of the Lord is our strength. So, let us celebrate! “Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”” (Nehemiah 8:10 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
