When God Says …

“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” (John 17:22-23 KJV).

Unity is not a commodity of this world. On a grand scale, this world is divided, fractured and segmented. All we can see around are walls of divide built between countries, cultures, opinions, politics, social ranks, religions and every other issues and things. People always find something to fight. They always find issues to quarrel on. In this instant a war is raging, a home is in turmoil and a heart is troubled. It is always like this without the reign of Christ Jesus.

It is only in Christ Jesus do we find the barriers brought down and all of us made into one family. As we put our faith in Him by His grace and love we have oneness with Him and the Father. That’s what this world needs. Only by allowing the love of Christ to reign can the world be as one.

As the Lord’s redeemed, that’s why we’re here. We are given His glory that may we be the catalyst for unity in the bond of peace in this world (Romans 12:5). Apostle Paul reminds us with his testimony. “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” (Romans 12:3-5 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
