The Gospel of John 17:25-26 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.” (John 17:25-26 KJV).

Choosing to believe in Christ Jesus sets us apart. When we’re filled with Him, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit—He’s the most important force in our life. Our longings are satisfied in a different way because of His presence in our heart, mind and being.

The things that were important to us, before we gave our life completely to God, have now taken a different meaning to us. We appreciate in a new way some of the things we used to be interested in like the world does, but we don’t have the same carnal passions now, as then. Yes, these closing passages of the Lord’s High Priestly prayer to our righteous Father sealed the completion of the mission of love that the Father sent Him for. Through grace, by faith in Him, we’ll be spiritually transformed by the Father’s love.

Apostle Paul puts this in a compelling testimonial perspective in his exhortation to the believers in Philippi. He said for our reflection: “though I myself have reason for confidence in the flesh also. If anyone else thinks he has reason for confidence in the flesh, I have more: But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.” (Philippians 3:4, 7-11 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
