The Gospel of John 16:8-11 Convict the World of Judgement ... When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” (John 16:8-11 KJV).

These passages reveal that the Holy Spirit - the Comforter and Helper, convicts the world "of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.” Referring to the prince of darkness who took dominion of the world when Adam ceded it with a bite of the forbidden fruit, he was condemned at the cross. Because the prince of the world, who is the devil, has been judged, the Holy Spirit will speak strongly about judgment to the unbelieving world.

Satan's judgment through the finished work of the Lord on the cross is the harbinger of the judgment that will be meted on his operatives in the world. As Satan has been judged, his cohorts and those who choose his worldly kingdom over the kingdom of God, will be too. Unless we do our part, to reach out to the world one soul at a time.

We, the children of God by grace through faith in Christ, must therefore testify and unveil before the world the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24) by the Word of truth (John 17:17). The Holy Spirit works through the Word and through us. We let His light shine through us resting in the Lord's grace by faith that they who are blinded might see (Matthew 4:16). Apostle Paul reminds: “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-6 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
