The Gospel of Luke 21:37-38 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.” (Luke 21:37-38 KJV).

These verses give a gentle wrap-up to our Lord’s teachings at the Temple, to paint His climactic routine before the crucifixion. By day, He teaches boldly in the bustling Temple. By night, He retreats to the quiet Mount of Olives to pray and rest, while eager crowds flocking to hear His every word gathering daily early in the morning.

Our Lord Jesus modeled a healthy rhythm of public ministry-touching lost and hungry souls, and private retreat to recharge communing with the Father. Knowing the cross was imminent, our Lord Jesus Christ didn't hide. He shows up consistently prioritizing the work the Father sent Him to accomplish and selflessly poured into eager hearts that come to listen.

While religious leaders were furiously plotting His death, our Lord Jesus remained calm and steadfast in his purpose in the middle of such a storm. He came to ride the storm into His death for you and me. He came to die as our ransom, so we can live for Him. It is written: “For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
