When God says...
“In a multitude of people is a king’s honor, But in the lack of people is the downfall of a prince.” (Proverbs 14:28 NKJV)
He used the analogy of a prospering kingdom, compared with an ailing princedom to teach us a lesson of godly rule. A growing kingdom which is blessed with teeming, growing and prospering population reflects a kingdom ruled in righteousness and justice. While a place where people are in lack, in want, regressing, running away and in fear, reflects a place ruled with injustice and wickedness. It's a regime headed away from God towards downfall. We saw and continue to see that in the rise and fall of nations in our time and time past.
These descriptions mirror the pictures of households, businesses, communities and nations where the sovereignty of God is defied and spurned. Yes, kingship and leadership not consecrated to God, be it a kingdom, a home or a business will not flourish. It rolls down to degeneration and decadence.
But, when it is surrendered to Jesus, He sanctifies it by His blood in His grace by faith in Him. It is transformed into a place bustling with abundance and of life. People are hopeful and booming. Peace reigns in their heart. They thrive even in draughts. The power of God goes with them. When all types of challenges and enemies come to ravage their land, they rise to overcome them and give honor to their king, as it is written: "The Lord shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways."(Deuteronomy 28:7 AMP)
And I say, AMEN!
