When God says...
“Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.” (Proverbs 15:22 NKJV)
He sheds light on the importance of good advice as an integral part of successful planning, decision making and implementation. It is a process of due diligence to gather as much unbiased independent inputs from varying perspectives in light of Godly wisdom.
The first and foremost source of such counsel is the Holy Spirit of God, by prayer and by His holy and written Word. As we pray and allow His Word to speak to us in our meditation and reflection, God positions people of experience in their walk with God to counsel and help us where needed. Their encounters in life, mirrored on God’s Word, are tips we can use as catalysts to establish our plans. In most cases their counsels sound contrary to the help we expect and want. But, we must beware, when we go against the advice we sought for which God gives, we will end up in a quagmire.
It is a fact that the best advice is always one we have not heard before or perhaps have heard but not in sync with what we thought we want. Well, God knows what's best for us. What we want may not be the best for us. If we heed His counsel, He will establish us supernaturally with abundant blessings from heaven.
As children of God, by faith in Christ Jesus, our help comes not from the world. It’s not from science. And, certainly, it is not from religion. It is from heaven – God supplies all our need! It is written, as Apostle Paul declares: "And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 AMP)
Apostle Peter affirms with this declaration: "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire." (2 Peter 1:3-4 ESV)
