Proverbs 14:31 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

“He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker, But he who honors Him has mercy on the needy.” (Proverbs 14:31 NKJV)

He gives us a loving reminder to keep us in check, how we interact with the folks around us. How we behave in our relationships with our fellowmen mirrors our attitude in the eyes of our Creator. Specially, when we wear the badge as believers in Jesus, what we do (good or bad) will always reflect upon Him whose badge we carry. Anything we do against the direction of His word is a slap of disgrace upon Him.

We ought to behave in a way to give Him glory and honor. Not to please people around us. Authenticity is a necessity. As children of God, we are to serve by His badge of mercy as we've been given mercy. Rather than oppressing those who are in need, bless them and pray for them even if they deserve to be where they are. Jesus gave us life when we deserved death. He died for us when we were His enemies wallowing in sin destined to die (Romans 5:8-10), so that we shall live to be with Him in this realm and in eternal life. He loves us.

Let us not disappoint our Savior and Maker. Let's allow the Holy Spirit to lead and use us. Let's follow His cue to do His will by grace through faith in Jesus, so that He can declare for us, what Lord Jesus said in His parable of the faithful servant: "His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’" (Matthew 25:21 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!
