“Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.” (John 14:11 NIV).
This passage incapsulate the significance of the Lord's miraculous works to serve as proofs and signs of His divinity. It is a vital truth to stand on for us to believe, that the Lord Jesus Christ is God incarnate in the midst of His creation. This, not only reassures us, who believe in His divine authority, but also challenges any doubts of His identity. It provokes every seeker of truth to reflect on their understanding of the Lord Jesus as the foundation of their faith. This reminds us that knowing the Lord and accepting His nature and mission is crucial for us to experience true spiritual assurance. We can rest in His grace by faith, in our life's journey to eternity. By embracing the truth of Christ's oneness with the Father, as born again believers by His grace, we find peace and purpose in our spiritual lives.
The revelation of our risen Lord Jesus Christ through Apostle Paul plainly declares: "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form," (Colossians 2:9 NIV). Hence, it is of utmost seriousness for us to respond His call to believe. It is by believing, that we are spared from damnation, as it is written: “Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.” (John 3:18 ESV).
And I say, AMEN!
