The Gospel of John 14:25-26 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” (John 14:25-26 KJV).

The Lord Jesus, in this last moments with His inner core disciples, knowing the fear that's building in them, continues to give them comfort. Knowing the impact of these crucial short time they have together, He cautioned them earlier: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” (John 14:1 NIV). Yes, they have all the reasons to fear and be troubled with what's transpiring. They are confused with the events unfolding not as they expected. Being told that in a short-while their Master will be leaving to go where they could not go, they're troubled. They've been with Him for three years going with Him wherever He goes. Now, these young disciples are informed, their Teacher is going away where they could not go. Yes, they are confused and troubled. Perhaps they're anxious what happens when He's gone?!

Hence, the Lord knowing this, as He knows what's going on in their hearts, and ours, too, He gives His comforting promise. When we are confused and troubled with things that may be unfolding in our lives, like the disciples were, being His children born again by faith Him, He comforts us. He sends the Holy Spirit, who transforms us into a new being, from natural to spiritual. Now, in Christ Jesus, we are renewed in spirit (Ephesians 4:23). We now have the mind of Christ by faith to fully grasp all that He taught.

Apostle Paul exhorts and reminds, that: “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” (1 Corinthians 2:14-16 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
