When God Says …
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” (John 14:18-20 KJV)
These passages point us to the Lord's resurrection from the grave at which time we will know our heavenly position in Him. Yes, He left for a little while to die for us. But, He came fort for us to be in us and we in Him. We’re now living in “that day” that He spoke of. In short, we’re now in our heavenly place. We’re now seated with Him by grace through faith in Him (Ephesians 2:6).
Being in the know that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the presence of Father, seated at His right hand (Romans 8:34), we are therefore seated with Him in the throne room of the majesty in heaven where he is. We’re sitting in the presence of our Almighty Father. We may not feel like we are, being still in the flesh. But, we must recognize that all things physical that we feel and see came from the spirit realm. The physical is temporary. It flashes swiftly like a vapor (James 4:14). The true reality is in the spirit that lives forever with God (Ecclesiastes 12:7). Being born again by faith in Christ Jesus, scriptures assure, and "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." (2 Corinthians 5:8).
Yes, as Children of God, born again by faith, our position with our Lord Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father is more real than anything we can see and touch. When He says we are in Him and He in us, we must believe, as it is written: “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:4-7 ESV).
And I say, AMEN!
