“Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.” (John 12:27 KJV).
Now, having been given the right to be called children of God by faith in Christ Jesus by His grace, with this passage we gain these truths to rest upon in our moments of trouble:
* We can come to our Father in the posture as His sons and daughters, assured we will receive what we ask in Jesus' name.
* We have confidence that our Father works in our lives for our good.
* We have comfort of the Holy Spirit's help, lead and guide to abide in His will.
* We have the Holy Spirit as deposit to guarantee and seal our eternal salvation.
In our humanity, we are limited. But, we rest assured that God will get us where we need to be, to honor him if we genuinely seek His will. We just have to let God love us. Depend on Him by faith. With our little faith resting in the limitless faith of Christ Jesus, scriptures declare that we now partake in the Lord's New Covenant of grace. It is the Faith of Christ Jesus we now live on, not ours! Because He submitted to the Father's will and accomplished what He came for, in spite of being troubled as He was in His nature in the flesh, as we are. Nevertheless, He faced the hour to comply. Now, we can rest by faith in His finished work!
Scriptures declare, as revealed by the risen Lord Jesus Christ through Apostle Paul, it is written: “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” (Galatians 2:16 KJV).
And I say, AMEN!
