The Gospel of John 12:25 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.” (John 12:25 KJV)

With this passage, the Lord Jesus Christ draws our attention to the right priorities of living in this earthly dimension. He is reminding us of the true realities, that who we truly are is in the unseen realm. You and I are spirit beings created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26). We live in a body. We have a soul. Our soul is where we feel, taste, hear, see and think to make a decision. So, our first decision to make is for the good of our true being, which is in spirit. We are to love our spirit self, not the physical shell we are in. This physical body is just an earth suit. In time, this will decay and had to be disposed off. This will expire!

Our love must be directed to our true self in the spirit. That's where we are to devote our efforts to care for. Feed it well, let it drink and breathe with Words that come from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). We must keep our spirit in its environment of comfort in the presence of God (Psalm 16:11) and His Words (Psalm 119:105). In so doing, we not only sustain our spirit unto eternal life. Our finite body will also be transformed to be glorified for eternity, through the process of regeneration, like a seed sown in the ground (John 12:24).

Having our faith in Christ Jesus, by His finished work on the cross, here's who we truly are, in the grand design of God. It is written scriptures say: “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.” (Philippians 3:20-21 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
