The Gospel of John 12:35-36 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.” (John 12:35-36 KJV).

Before the Lord Jesus departed out of the people's sight, He gives one more nudge in these passages of the ethereal gravity of the Right-Now moment. When the now moment passes, it won't be back. It is gone along with all the opportunities with it.

Using the metaphor of darkness and light, the Lord conveys that being in His presence, for those people who were with Him in the flesh and for us now reflecting His holy and written Words, light is over us to walk in by receiving Him in faith. Letting it flash by without receiving Him by believing, chained to religion like these crowd of religious people then, and in this present age, darkness of the world comes upon you. And, you remain walking in the dark not knowing where you're headed.

We must therefore make that decision now! What comes next, without the light in Christ Jesus, could come in an instant and all chances for salvation are gone. Now is the time to be children of the Light (John 8:12), and be saved by grace (Ephesians 2:4-5). We must believe (John 6:29), NOW! As revealed by the risen Lord Jesus to Apostle Paul, Scriptures remind: “For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
