The Gospel of John 12:37-38 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?” (John 12:37-38 KJV).

These passages echo what was written by prophet Isaiah "and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?" (Isaiah 53:1). This figuratively refers to the sovereignty of God being revealed to the Jews, but they did not believe. This scenario of the Jewish descendants of God's chosen people not believing, has been prophesied by Isaiah hundreds of years before. Even in this present age of modern Israel, it is reported that there are only around 1.9% Messianic believers that put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He purposely came, first and foremost for them, who are the physical heirs of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yes, it is sad. But, on the other hand, their unbelief is a blessing for the Gentile nations like us. Their rejection gives us access to salvation by believing (Romans 11:15a).

In spite the many miracles and signs shown them, they were stubborn in rejecting the Lord. The revelation that apostle Paul directly received from the risen Lord Jesus, calls this "a partial hardening" until the fullness of us Gentiles and non Israelites, have come in. Is there a limit of us to enter in? If so, we must come in, Now! We are reminded and warned: “Lest you be wise in your own sight, I do not want you to be unaware of this mystery, brothers: a partial hardening has come upon Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And in this way all Israel will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”” (Romans 11:25-27 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
