Yield to Jesus

Consciously Yield to our Lord’s Sovereignty

As we meditate upon our gospel for this anniversary celebration – it is fitting to establish some core truths.

God is sovereign

Man is not

Life is dependent upon our Lord Jesus Christ

John trusted in these truths when he yielded to Jesus as he declared in John 3: 30 “He must increase; but I must decrease [NKJV]”. He knows the Lord. He was sent to prepare for His coming. He met Him when he baptized our Lord at the river Jordan. He made a conscious decision. He yielded to our Lord’s pre-eminence in his life.

That is the message I got from this verse today. I must yield totally to our Lord Jesus Christ – as John did.

I have to recognize that God is sovereign. He depends on no-one. He is The Beginning and The End – The Alpha and The Omega.
None existed before Him and None after Him. He is the Ultimate. The Perfect One.. He is the Peace.. The Provider.. The Source.. The Creator. The Giver of Life. He sees the end from the beginning. He is the King. The Redeemer. The Savior - my Savior. He purchased me by His blood. He is my Lord. He owns me. He is Jesus our Lord.

I have to realize that as man, I am not sovereign. I am limited. Temporal. I am weak. I am susceptible to go a stray. I commit mistakes. Sin entices me. I can slip off my feet. I envy. Jealousy creeps in me. I wear out. I fall. I fall short from His glory. I am imperfect.

I encountered the Lord. He met me where I'm at - even in my imperfection. In my sinfulness He welcomed me. He cleansed me by His blood. He Loved me much.

I have to accept Him. I need Him. My life is nothing without Him. He is my life. I depend on Him. He has to have sovereignty of my life. I must consciously yield to His Kingship. I must live and abide by the system of His Kingdom. My victory is in Him. He has already accomplished all I need to overcome.

He is my perfection. He is my righteousness. He is my justification. I being imperfect – must dwell in the shadow of Him who is Perfect. I must hang out with and in Him – be partner with the Holy One of Israel, my Jesus and my Lord.

"That's why my cup is running over. This is the assigned moment for Him to move into the center, while I slip off to the sidelines. John 3:30 [The Message]

Happy Anniversary my beloved Brethren!

Ressurection: The Power

Jesus Christ Our Lord is Alive!

Let’s celebrate. Raise our voice in praise to our risen Lord. What a great day for all of us 2.3 billion brothers and sisters all over the world, to reflect this day of great significance in our lives. This moment restores everything.

As we go back to that Sunday morning, the empty tomb declared that death was defeated. The grave was overwhelmed. Victory is won. Jesus gave His life to save and rescue us. None can stop Him. He is alive. So, we live.

Yes, Jesus is alive. Because He lives, fear of death is gone.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8 Apostle Paul reminds us-
1" Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. 2" It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
3" I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4" He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said. 5" He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve. 6" After that, he was seen by more than 500 of his followers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. 7" Then he was seen by James and later by all the apostles. 8" Last of all, as though I had been born at the wrong time, I also saw him.

Jesus saved us from:

* The wrath of God, due to sin that must be paid by death which Jesus paid once and for all.

* The rule and dominion of Satan. Not anymore. Jesus restored heaven’s sovereignty of over our lives. Kingdom’s rule is restored.

* Power of sin. It has no more. The Holy Spirit helps us. He lives in us. Comforts us.

* Hell. We have been redeemed. Purchased by His blood.

Our Lord’s resurrection restored everything:

* The impossible, is now possible. (Luke 18:27 (NKJV)
27" But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
Whatever we face that looks daunting and impossible. God makes it possible in His own mysterious ways.

* His word is truth. He fulfills what He says.
Matthew 28:6 (NKJV)
6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He SAID. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
In His Holy and written Word, there are 365 promises. For every problem He has a pledge. He honors it all.

* Death is impeached. It has the final say no more. “O death where is your sting” (1 Corinthians 15:55 NKJV)

* Power to live. The glory of our risen Lord’s presence by the Holy Spirit helps us through this life.

Ephesians 1:19-21 (NKJV) 19" and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20" which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21" far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

Yes, let us reflect upon His resurrection, that we know Him, have fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

(Philippians 3:9-10 NKJV) 9" and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10" that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

Jesus gave us the power to live, through the power of His resurrection. Yes,

* He died to save us.
* He rose to let us live in the power.
* Let’s celebrate life for His glory.

Let’s not be like Thomas. Let’s cross the line of faith. Believe.

Happy Easter my beloved brethren!
