Proverbs 12:12 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The wicked covet the catch of evil men, But the root of the righteous yields fruit." (Proverbs 12:12 NKJV)

Shows two ways of producing fruits. It also reveals that whatever is rooted in the heart produces its fruit. That is wickedness for evil; righteousness for good. Evil people desire and envy both the blessings of the Godly and even the possessions of their ungodly kind. While people of faith in Christ Jesus, love and care for both the sinners and saints. (We love who Jesus loves and He loves sinners like you and me.) Contrasting roots produce contrasting spiritual fruits: good or evil. Both have access to the same material wealth and possessions.

All the material riches of the earth are neutral. It's the condition of the heart of those who hold it that determines its quality - a blessing or a curse. Material riches are amplifiers. It amplifies whatever is in your heart. If a person is greedy it amplifies the desire for more. If a person is a giver it amplifies more giving. If the root is evil, it amplifies the speed to destruction. If the root is godly it amplifies heavenly harvests.

As children of God, resting in grace through faith in Christ Jesus, let's nurture the root of righteousness, as we take on this charge by Apostle Paul: "Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life. (1Timothy 6:17-19 NLT)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:11 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, But he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding." (Proverbs 12:11 NKJV)

We are given a hint what we can do with the field we are blessed with - till it or just let it lie idle. Tilling it, leads to harvest. Doing nothing brings nothing. That’s a foolhardy attitude of a person who lacks wisdom and understanding.

A deep mining of these words, we see God calls our attention using the analogy of 'tilling the land' in order to properly and effectively plant seeds that produce fruits. A land untilled is hard. Seed can't grow. The land is our heart. We are to soften our heart. Make it teachable to receive God's Word. His Word is the seed that brings us life. To do that, we have to open our heart. Be in the right environment of worship and solitude with God day by day. Be purposeful in meditation of His Word. Be committed. Not lackadaisical and frivolous. We allow His Word to be continuously sown, and in due season comes the harvest. Our spirit is filled and satisfied with bread from heaven.

So let's till. Let's plow our hearts. It is written: "This is what the lord says to the people of Judah and Jerusalem: “Plow up the hard ground of your hearts! Do not waste your good seed among thorns. O people of Judah and Jerusalem, surrender your pride and power. Change your hearts before the lord, or my anger will burn like an unquenchable fire because of all your sins. (Jeremiah 4:3, 4 NLT)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:10 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"A righteous man regards the life of his animal, But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." (Proverbs 12:10 NKJV)

He gives us a litmus test of a person whose heart beats in righteousness - he cares for and regards the seemingly insignificant as an asset to do greater things. He values the blessings God entrusted for his stewardship. Everything in our hands comes from God. He is the owner. We are the steward, given the task to nurture and prosper it. Doing so is one test we can reflect upon where we are in our walk with God. We can know the condition of our heart, what kind of person we are, by how we treat the resources placed in our control. As the best care the wicked can give to his cattle is cruelty, worse will be his savagery thereof.

Righteous view of living is to be blessed to be a blessing. That view aligns with God's plan. Using the hidden metaphor of a farmer - when He places an animal resource in our hand - as with all other resources, it becomes asset for abundant harvests. As good stewards we are to use them productively. We are to prosper and not waste them. Make them thrive. They are created for us, to provide sustenance for our earthly life.

We are to manage the resources we are given like the good servant who made good use of the 5 talents he was given, as it is written - "And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’ (Matthew 25:20, 21 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:9 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant, Than he who honors himself but lacks bread." (Proverbs 12:9 NKJV)

He reminds us to stay rooted in God’s way even if we are publicly unrecognized yet we are not a burden to others. We may not be considered for honor by people around us, but we have sufficiency of God's provisions. We are valuable in God's eyes. He saved us. He redeemed us by the blood of the Lamb. That's who we are to God. We give honor to Him alone, who provides us with favors and blessings.

We are not to act like a horn-blower who takes the place that belongs only to God. One who puts himself in a pedestal, who act like a person of importance to the world, yet in lack, and depends on the provisions of the world. As children of God through faith in Christ, we are to live honorably in the world, yet strive not to call the attention of the world to the honorable things we do. Rather, just let the world see us as we are - resting in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are in no position to boast like a starving braggart.

If anyone wants honor, and boast about it, Apostle Paul gives these prompting words: "Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuse, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.” (1 Corinthians 1:26-31 MSG)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:8 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"A man will be commended according to his wisdom, But he who is of a perverse heart will be despised." (Proverbs 12:8 NKJV)

His plan for each and every one of us is to be in a place of blessings and commendation. That is the place where God's favors shine on us like a 'shining city on a hill'. To move from where we are to that place of honor where He wants us to be, we have to be in the know of His plan so we can cooperate. We need wisdom. We have to seek His wisdom and get hold of it.

We ought not behave like a perverse who thinks he doesn't need God, and ends up in a pit of derision and disgrace.

But, for those who possess wisdom, and we can have the gift of wisdom through the knowledge of Him - Christ Jesus our Lord (Ephesians 1:17), He promised as it is written: "You’re blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom, when you make friends with Madame Insight. She’s worth far more than money in the bank; her friendship is better than a big salary. Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her. With one hand she gives long life, with the other she confers recognition. Her manner is beautiful, her life wonderfully complete. She’s the very Tree of Life to those who embrace her. Hold her tight—and be blessed! (Proverbs 3:13-18 MSG)

Proverbs 12:7 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The wicked are overthrown and are no more, But the house of the righteous will stand." (Proverbs 12:7 NKJV)

We ask ourselves, who is wicked? And, who is righteous? The wicked - his thoughts are continually evil, as the Bible says: "The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination and intention of all human thinking was only evil continually.(Genesis 6:5 AMP).

And, He who believes in God is righteous. The scripture says: "Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness. (Genesis 15:6 NIV)

The house of the righteous will stand; the wicked are no more, as Lord Jesus declares : "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:18-21 ESV)

With total trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, let's be in the light in our daily walk. Lord Jesus assures us: "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."(John 8:12 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:6 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The words of the wicked are, “Lie in wait for blood,” But the mouth of the upright will deliver them." (Proverbs 12:6 NKJV)

He exposes contrasting comparison of words spoken by the abundance of their heart between a righteous and a wicked. When a wicked speaks, though it sounds honest and well intentioned, it is a deception - a trap to draw blood upon its innocent victim. The wicked only knows mischief, whose words lie in wait to destroy. Its tongue is a sword ready to hurt unsuspecting people who stand in its way.

We are to be discerning, watchful and prayerful, as believers in Christ Jesus, who and how we engage the people around us. We are to be aware that there are 4 types of people - the adders, the subtracters, the multipliers and the dividers. We should do our best to prayerfully stay away from the subtracters and dividers. Choose to be around the adders and multipliers - preferentially the exponential multipliers. The upright as they speak, the words of their mouth deliver us from the destructive words of the wicked. As the wicked vilifies, the upright edifies.

We ought to follow the way of the upright. Be adders and multipliers. Let's be edifiers, as Apostle Paul exhorts us with these words - "God didn’t set us up for an angry rejection but for salvation by our Master, Jesus Christ. He died for us, a death that triggered life. Whether we’re awake with the living or asleep with the dead, we’re alive with him! So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it. (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11 MSG) 

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:5 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The thoughts of the righteous are right, But the counsels of the wicked are deceitful." (Proverbs 12:5 NKJV)

It starts in the theatre of the mind. Our thought is the battleground between righteousness and wickedness to wrestle over the control towards our quality of living. If we feed our mind with what's right, it flows to our heart, it germinates. Then, it gives birth to righteous way of life. 

We are to filter what gets through our thoughts. We ought not just freely allow everything that the media of the world flood our mind. Its sewage of negative spins of ungodly counsels, are the antithesis of God's living Word. If we expose ourselves to be saturated with media fear-mongering, our life will be governed by terror and constant agitation. We must filter everything we hear and see by the holy and written Word of God. As believers of Jesus Christ, resting in His grace by faith, our being ought to be dominated by peace that transcends our human understanding.

Yes, even in the midst of issues, problems, crisis, turmoil and persecution, peace must reign. We do that by soaking our mind with things heavenly, as Apostle Paul exhorts with these words: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. (Philippians 4:8, 9 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:4 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, But she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones." (Proverbs 12:4 NKJV)

He affirms that the wife ordained by God is man's crown (seal of authority) in his mantle as husband. She is the wife of superb qualities rooted in God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. She is a woman whose values point the sight of her children and all members of her family towards the direction of heaven. Her virtues draw her family to walk in the path of grace. Her presence at her husband's side props him up in his role to bring his household in the righteousness of God.

On the other hand, a wife who causes trouble is a husband's ticket to downfall. She makes a husband lethargic and slothful. She freezes him from raising a family with a reverent fear of The Lord. When God instituted the sacrament of marriage in the garden, it's His design for a good wife to be a dignified partner to her husband in a unique relationship of two persons - a man and a woman, becoming one. Apostle Paul exhorts all women, in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through faith in Him, with these words: "[The] women likewise must be worthy of respect and serious, not gossipers, but temperate and self-controlled, [thoroughly] trustworthy in all things. (1 Timothy 3:11 AMP) 

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:3 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved." (Proverbs 12:3 NKJV)

We are reminded, when we are rooted in God's righteousness, our foundation is established strong. That is when we have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, receive His Lordship over our lives, hear His words and do it. Even those who hear His words (and not do it) Lord Jesus calls him a fool and compares him with a man who builds his house on the sand which falls in a great crash when storm comes. Worse is the one who stands on wickedness - one who rejects God and His Words - which is the platform of destruction. 

But, blessed is he who stands righteous in the sight of God by faith in Christ Jesus and rest in solitude with The Lord, he shall not be moved, as the psalmist declares: "For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. (Psalm 62:5-7 ESV) 

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:2 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"A good man obtains favor from the Lord, But a man of wicked intentions He will condemn." (Proverbs 12:2 NKJV)

He makes us aware that a man whose heart is set upon the Lord in faith always comes upon His throne of grace to obtain favor. And, he gets it! He is a man who knows that his faithful God always grant His favors to those who rely only in Him. He is a good man, not of what he has done but of what The Lord Jesus whom he trusts has done for him. His heart's desire is to glorify His Lord, not as the wicked whose intention is to satisfy the desires of his flesh. Wrong motives tilt the spout of blessings away from a corrupt vessel. Scripture says: "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. (James 4:3 NIV)

But, for those who ask in the right posture, He surrounds him with abundant blessings, as the psalmist declared - "For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with you]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor). (Psalm 5:12 AMP)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 12:1 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid." (Proverbs 12:1 NKJV)

He is reminding that we are in a journey of continuous learning and understanding. We are to go in the path of the wise, who seeks knowledge of the truth.  The Truth that will set us free, which the Lord Jesus affirmed to those who believed Him. It is written: "To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32 NIV) 

The way of stupidity is bondage of the pride of life. By His Word, having been saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, God wants me to be a life-long learner. A seeker of truth in His Words.

Hence, it is wise for us to meditate on Apostle Paul’s exhortation to Timothy: “But you should continue following the teachings you learned. You know they are true, because you trust those who taught you. Since you were a child you have known the Holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise. And that wisdom leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:14-15 NCB)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:31 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, How much more the ungodly and the sinner?" (Proverbs 11:31 NKJV)

He reminds us that everything we do in this life, be it righteously with God or wickedly against the will of God, there are consequences both here on earth and in eternity. The godly things we do, abiding in the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ by faith, calls for pleasant rewards and blessings while we live this life day by day. Evil things and whatever a person does wickedly under the cover of darkness results in unpleasant reparation. That's why we see prisons overflowing - rehab centers and other houses of reform are full to its seam.

Then, as we step from this physical life into the spiritual realm, eternal reward awaits those who remain in The Lord. And, eternal judgment awaits those who stay in their evil ways - stubborn not to take the road of repentance. So, as we have been warned, let's be conscious and mindful, time is coming when The Lord will give His last judgment upon everyone. Apostle Paul exhorts us with these words: "So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:9, 10 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:30 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise." (Proverbs 11:30 NKJV)

He declares the ultimate result of walking right in the sight of God is the fruit which produces eternal life. That is the fruit of the Holy Spirit who lives in us when we invited and received Him to come into our hearts at that moment of salvation. That is when we accepted Jesus our personal Lord and Savior.

When the righteous walks in grace by faith in Christ Jesus, the fruit of the spirit is revealed - love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.(Galatians 5:22-23 NIV) The wise who is led by the Spirit of Christ bears this fruit. By this fruit he wins the souls who are lost. He is made a fisher of men as Lord Jesus proclaimed upon Peter and Andrew. It is written: 'While walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed him.' (Matthew 4:18-20 ESV) 

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:29 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind, And the fool will be servant to the wise of heart." (Proverbs 11:29 NKJV)

Only a fool troubles his own domain - his house, his work place, his business and all others placed under his control. For a person of common sense, the house is his/her primary project to make it a home - a place of comfort, a place to run to in times of trouble. Neglect over that role, let alone making it a place of trouble, gives him his due reward - the wind, or if there would have been anything, would be blown in the wind.

As believers in the Lord Jesus, we are to be wise. We surrender control over our home to Him. Not like a fool who serves and trusts only in man, whom he ought not even if he is wise in heart. His words give this command: "Do not trust in noblemen, In mortal man, in whom there is no salvation."(Psalm 146:3 NASB)

We are to allow God to build our house, as it is written: "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain." (Psalm 127:1 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:28 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...


"He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage." (Proverbs 11:28 NKJV)

It's a pop-up alert not to put our trust in the material things of the world. They are temporal, fleeting and unreliable. They come and go at the wrong timing. They are not around when direly needed.

Rather, we put our trust in The Lord who is the source of everything, as the righteous does. That is by accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the One and only begotten Son of the Father, by faith in Him. In His grace, we are to trust in the giver, not the gift. His provisions of grace do not run out. He provides us richly with material things as tools to be a blessing, useful for investment in the physical for spiritual returns. 

Apostle Paul gave these words for us to reflect on: "As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good things under grace, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life. (1Timothy 6:17-19 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:27 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil." (Proverbs 11:27 NKJV)

He affirms that anyone who seeks will find and will never be disappointed. Those who seek trouble will end up in trouble. Those who seek defect and something wrong with their health and spend much with hi-tech tests to probe their body will find what they look for.

God sets the system in motion. When you seek, you will find. When you ask, you will be given. When you knock, the door will be opened unto you. Hence, one must set in his mind and heart to seek only good, favors and blessings - the things that are of God.

There was a story told of a young fool who embarks on a journey to seek his fortune. He immediately came upon an old man who invited him to live with him in his castle to be heir of his vast empire as he has no descendants. But he refused, saying 'thank you but no sir. I am on a journey to search for my fortune.' Off he goes on, which lead him to stumble upon a young beautiful heiress who invited him to be her husband, to share with her vast wealth, as she had no one with her. But, again he refused, to continue in his search for his fortune which took him face to face of a hungry wolf, who asked him: how have you been young man? To which he replied with pride, 'I am in search for my fortune, Mr. Wolf. He added to say, along my way here, I met an old man who wanted me to inherit his vast empire, and a young wealthy heiress who invited me to be her husband. But, I refused them both. You see Mr. Wolf, I am on a journey, a mission to seek my fortune.' With that, the hungry wolf leaped with joy and said 'what a fortune indeed for me!'

Let's not be like that fool, who missed and just passed by the fortunes he had encountered and ended up in misfortune. Let's be wise. Let's seek first thing first. Lord Jesus gives this command: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 NIV) 

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:26 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The people will curse him who withholds grain, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it." (Proverbs 11:26 NKJV)

It is a blessing to be a blessing. But, cursed to be a hoarder. In times of scarcity, withholding your grain to gain is a sin. As true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, by having a personal intimate relationship with Him - not religion, we are to feed those who are hungry and give drink to those who are thirsty. Doing or not doing it unto them is doing or not doing it unto The Lord. Their cry of need becomes a curse to the locked warehouse. Their joy of relief is blessing to the open barn.

We are to be liberal providers to those who need. God promised and it is written: "And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!" (2 Corinthians 9:8, 9 AMP)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:25 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

“The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself". (Proverbs 11:25 NKJV)

In another way of the saying, "The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped." (Proverbs 11:25 MSG)

Again, He assures us that if 'We make it our business to take care of God's business, God will make it His business to take of our business.' And... He'll do His part ABUNDANTLY! This is revealed in Apostle Paul's testimonial declarations to the believers in Philippi, as it is written: "Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid more than once when I was in need. Not that I desire your gifts; what I desire is that more be credited to your account. I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:15-19 NIV)

The truth of the matter is, God has already done His part through the finished work of Jesus. All we do is posture ourselves to receive it by having a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Not by religion. Only by believing in Him, receive His Lordship in our lives and be Born Again! His Words declare: "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness."(2 Peter 1:3 NIV)

He calls us to be a habitual giver, not taker. And, not by our effort, but by resting in His grace. As our Lord said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive." (Acts 20:35b) Furthermore, the scriptures declare - "Lord Jesus said: “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:24 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"There is one who scatters, yet increases more: And, there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.”(Proverbs 11:24 NKJV)

In the message paraphrase, it says- “The world of the generous gets larger and larger; the world of the stingy gets smaller and smaller.” (Proverbs 11:24 MSG)

God is looking for good businessmen, good farmers, good investors who sow.

Let's be a sower of GOOD seeds!

He rouses divine stewardship of the seeds He placed in our hands. These are the 4Ts He supplies to us: Time, Talent, Treasure and Touch. Unless we unclench and let these seeds fall on the ground, there will be no harvest. When seeds are low, it is time to sow. We must not wait for it to run out.

As children of God in grace through faith in Christ Jesus, we are commissioned to keep sowing. Now is the time to drop seeds. The needs in areas affected by calamities, the lives battered by the harsh realities of living and the urgency to rescue souls marching to eternal death are open fields for sowing. God calls us to do the work in a spontaneous response. He established, as it is written: “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."(2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NIV)

Proverbs 11:23 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The desire of the righteous is only good, But the expectation of the wicked is wrath."(Proverbs 11:23 NKJV)

It is the right time to ask ourselves the questions: What are the desires of my heart? Are my intentions filled with hate? The answers help us test ourselves if our heart is in sync with the heart of God. It helps us examine ourselves whether our walk is in righteousness or in wickedness. And, if we are humble and true to ourselves, knowing our direction is off course, we can enter into a season of change to re-set the rhythm of our walk to be in step with the walk of our Lord.

As the redeemed of The Lord Jesus Christ when we put our trust in Him, He made us righteous by His blood. We are to keep His word and walk as He walks. Apostle John reminds us with these words:- "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked." (I John 2:3-6 NKJV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:22 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion." (Proverbs 11:22 NKJV)

He uses the metaphor of a precious gold on a pig's mouth likened to a woman with beautiful physical image but lives loosely, as a picture of how we appear in God's sight even as we live in a well-staged posture but of no virtue at the core.

Our core must be rooted in reverent awe of God. Then, from within, out flows grace and love. Love not as world's pandering and ego-feeding. But, rather love that cares for what is best. Love, that doesn't hesitate to tell the truth, even at the cost of being spurned. Love, that is not ashamed to remind us, how Jesus loves us all.

A lovely woman represents every being created in the image of God. Each one is God's masterpiece. Yes, we've been broken by sin but now restored by grace through Jesus' death, the moment we receive His Lordship over our life. By the leading of the Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent, we can now live as a lovely woman FULL of discretion, as the righteousness of God. 

If anyone haven't yet, it is time to be reconciled to God and accept Jesus in your heart. Apostle Paul reminds with these words: "Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." (2 Corinthians 5:20, 21 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:21 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"Though they join forces, the wicked will not go unpunished; But the posterity of the righteous will be delivered." (Proverbs 11:21 NKJV)

Escaping punishment for wickedness in hell is not accomplished by majority vote. Judgment to condemn unrighteousness is not even a choice of God. God loves the wicked that He came and died so they might be saved. Yes, He died for us all. But, sadly by free will, the wicked opted to be condemned by denying the Lord Jesus Christ. They ejected Him from courts, schools, public places and events and almost every area - specially in the seat of governance - where His presence is direly needed. This being enforced by devious human judgment under the cover of constitutional rights of the few.

But, the Legacy of generations in faith is saved. Not by works, but by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). Salvation is not by numbers either. It is by faith and choice to surrender to the grace of the Only One who saves. Those who think where the majority are going are on the right path are deceived. Those who follow them because they are many are in grave error. Lord Jesus instructs us with these words - "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:13,14 NKJV)

Out of the almost 8 Billion people in the world today, only around 2.5 Billion choose to enter the narrow gate by declaring the Lordship of Christ. Many choose to reject Jesus - around 5 Billion+ of them. Their majority act of choice condemned them. Not save them, if they don't change direction while there is still time. As it is written: "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. (John 3:18 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:20 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"Those who are of a perverse heart are an abomination to the Lord, But the blameless in their ways are His delight." (Proverbs 11:20 NKJV)

Everything that happens in our life under our authorship is rooted in our hearts. Our ways are reflections of the nature and condition of our heart. A person's deliberate desire to go against God's will is not an accident or mishap. It is conceived in the heart. 

So as doing good, being a blessing to others and living in truth and integrity. It does not happen by chance. It's a life of a person whose heart's desire is to please God. Those whose trust is in the Lord by faith in Jesus are His delight. Obstinacy is disgraceful in the sight of God.

Let us therefore guard our hearts, as it is written: "Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth, And put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, And your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, And let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; Remove your foot from evil. (Proverbs 4:23-27 NKJV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:19 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"As righteousness leads to life, So he who pursues evil pursues it to his own death." (Proverbs 11:19 NKJV)

He is reminding us to make the decisive resolve NOW to stop pursuing evil and live right in the sight God by surrendering our life to Jesus. Let the Holy Spirit lead our living to do His will by His grace.

He is coming soon to judge the nations. Let's be ready, as He forewarns us with these words: “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matthew 25:31-46 ESV)

Proverbs 11:18 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The wicked man does deceptive work, But he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward." (Proverbs 11:18 NKJV)

Such an obvious reminder! What a man does reveal who he is. Your work gives you up. Your deceptions announce your wickedness. While work sown in righteousness of God by faith in Jesus is sure to reap heavenly reward. We are to bear fruits of righteousness.

As the branch, let's remain in the vine, apart from the vine we bear no fruit. Lord Jesus is the vine (John 15:5). He reminds us with His word - "For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. (Luke 6:43-45 NKJV) 

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:17 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"The merciful man does good for his own soul, But he who is cruel troubles his own flesh." (Proverbs 11:17 NKJV)

He reminds us that one who dispenses mercy will receive mercy. While one who renders cruelty will be rendered with cruelty. 'You reap what you sow.' If you sow kindness, you reap kindness. If you look at a mirror with a grumpy face, you will be met by a grumpy face. As children of God by grace through faith in Jesus, we are to be merciful, as we have been forgiven by His great mercy. We are to live under God's banner of love, recued by His gift of mercy, already washed by His blood from the stain of the cruelty of sin.

Apostle Paul calls on us with these words: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (Galatians 6:7-10 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:16 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"A gracious woman retains honor, But ruthless men retain riches." (Proverbs 11:16 NKJV)

He affirms that life graciously lived leaves a long lasting legacy of high esteem and recognition, while ruthlessness may gain only fleeting material riches. In the gospel Lord Jesus warned with these words - "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” (Mark 10:25 ESV). Riches are unnecessary baggage for heaven's journey. We have to travel light!

Being redeemed by grace, we are to wear the attire of grace in our daily walk. By grace - the undeserved favor of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are saved. It is written: "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— (Ephesians 2:8 NIV)

Resting in grace by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, let us be ruthless to save up not riches on earth, but treasures in heaven. In the beatitudes, Lord Jesus exhorts with these words: “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Mathew 6:19-21 NIV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:15 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says...

"He who is surety for a stranger will suffer, But one who hates being surety is secure." (Proverbs 11: 15 NKJV)

He gives a warning for wise stewardship, knowing that we and all we have are God's. We are just stewards of it - our lives and possessions. We are cautioned not to rush in rash deals with strangers. Wise and prayerful attitude is important. Unscrupulous characters are everywhere to trap unsuspecting men who has a heart eager to help. Our measure to help is what we have. We are not to help with anything that binds others to be burdened by it, like surety on a debt. It affects your heirs. First of all, indebtedness beyond our capacity is unwise in plain business measures, most of all in the sight of God. Dependence on debt instead of God has unpleasant consequences.

In situations like that, we are to move away from it towards dependence upon The Lord. He will give us wisdom where and how to make adjustments wisely. If we readjust our way of living by putting God on the right place which is the # 1 spot in every aspect of our life, every other aspects of our life will be blessed. We will start moving out of the bondage of debt and surety the right way - God's way. First step is: Let's seek His Kingdom. The Kingdom is at hand in Jesus. Let's let Him in our hearts. He promised with this imperative call - "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:33 NIV)


When we give Jesus the First place in our life and do things right for His glory, by grace through faith in Him,  Apostle Paul exhorts us with these words of prayer - "And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen." (Philippians 4:19, 20 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!

Proverbs 11:14 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God says..

"Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety." (Proverbs 11:14 NKJV)

He brings for our reminder the importance of a well-informed and well-advised decision. Rash decisions without consultation run the risk of failure. People who are hasty and impulsive mostly end up at a place of regrets - where thoughts of "I should have" and "I could have" come to haunt them the rest of their lives. 

Multiple counsels bring a better posture for decision making. Different angles of perspectives are made available for a prayerful evaluation which option leads to a happy, stable, fruitful and blessed result. "Lone Ranger" attitude is not God's plan for man. The Lord God said "it is not good for man to be alone" and He gives man a suitable helper. (Genesis 2:18). Two heads are better than one, as it is written - "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up." (Ecclesiastes 4:9, 10 NIV)

Let's seek and welcome brotherly counsels, and be prayerful for the Holy Spirit to help us with decisions made safe and in sync with the will of God, in Jesus name. Our Lord Jesus gave us this promise: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." (John 14:26 ESV)

And I say, AMEN!
