The Gospel of John 11:43-44 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:43-44 KJV).

These passages bring to our remembrance, He who by His Word declared creation into being. Yes, He who controls everything from galaxies, to governments and to each our lives; and, He who sustains everything by the call of His Words, He raises the dead man to life by the sound of His voice. King David reveals this Truth: "The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic" (Psalms 29:4 NIV).

The Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ and our Redeemer, who is the resurrection and life (John 11:25), raises Lazarus to life by His own power, as the Father's exact reflection. Scriptures declare: “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful Word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” (Hebrews 1:3 NIV)

And we have the comfort of the assuring promise of resurrection by faith in Him. It is written: “But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.” (Romans 8:10-11 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
