The Gospel of John 11:51-53 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation; and not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of God that were scattered abroad. Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.” (John 11:51-53 KJV).

Was there a time that you uttered something trivial and did not realize how profound it really was? That's Caiaphas in this instance, a high priest of the Jews - the enemies of the Lord, speaking prophetic truth. His remark, unbeknownst to him, predicts the Lord's sacrificial death. The Lord Jesus came for the main reason of becoming the sacrificial lamb for the sins of the world. Yes, that's for everyone. But, sadly, many refused to receive the benefits of it by their unbelief, like these religious Jews. In this time of dispensation of grace of the Lord's true gospel - the single sin, an unforgivable sin that a person commits is unbelief in the person of Grace who is Christ Jesus.

Chiapas, a hardened non-believer, was simply trying to get rid of one he viewed as a troublemaker; one he thought could cause them to lose what they have. He works to keep their own version of peace and to keep them from losing their power and influence. For him, this was about keeping things the way they were comfortable with. He had no idea he was really prophesying and speaking a powerful and wonderful word from the Lord.

Through the Lord's death and the power of His resurrection, by faith in Him, we're delivered from all sin/s (past, present and future), diseases and eternal death. The Lord Jesus, gathered us all Jews and Gentiles, as one children of God. He gives us eternal life. We are born gain by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. And Apostle Paul exhorts us with these words: “But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.” (Romans 6:17-18, 22 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
