The Gospel of Luke 1:46-49 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: For, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; And holy is his name.” (Luke 1:46-49 KJV).

Mary spontaneously stepped into songs of worship to glorify the Lord in response to Elizabeth's words of accolades and blessings. She rejoices for God regarded her, despite her being a lowly servant, to be declared blessed for all generations. The same attitude we too must have, as children of God in Christ Jesus, giving the Lord honor and glory all the time, as His saving grace unfolds in our life. When we are drawn and notice those magnificent moments of His love, we give Him the glory for all that He has done. The Lord brought heaven down, born through the virgin’s womb, so we can be blessed for all eternity by believing in Him, who moved in our neighborhood (John 1:14 MSG).

This tells us that for those who rest in the favor and grace of God like Mary, and for us who receive His Lordship by faith, our manifestation of worship is spontaneous. Our life is full of worship in His presence every moment of our lives. Our hearts are in a state of unceasing worship, proclaiming songs of hymns and psalms: “My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” (Psalm 34:2-5 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
