The Gospel of Luke 1:67-69 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; For he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David;” (Luke 1:67-69 KJV).

Filled with the Holy Spirit, Mary praised God in her youth, from a heart filled with faith in the divine words of grace and truth. Zecharias praised God in his old age, from a repentant heart, in words cognizant of the Lord’s saving grace. It’s never too late for a recovery from our mistakes as Zacharias did for doubting. He was left speechless for 9 months. Redemption knows no bounds of time or gender or age. Praise can't be confined to a certain group of people. God is never a respecter of person. He is a respecter of faith. Fervor doesn't belong to just the young and wisdom to just the old. God's grace is like a river that overflows with life-giving water and brings its joy to the young and the old alike.

So let's surrender our lives to grace in the person of Christ Jesus. Let’s cast out doubt and lay open our minds to His Word. Let's praise Him for His work of redemption and for His love that compelled Him to visit humanity. Recognizing the Messiah who is the “horn” (authority and power) of salvation through the line of king David, we being the redeemed of the risen Lord. We are therefore reminded through apostle Paul’s testimony. He said: “Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ,” (Romans 1:1-6 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
