When God Says …

“Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.” (Luke 10:2 KJV).

The Lord Jesus Christ, in preparing the seventy-two disciples to heal the sick and preach that the kingdom of God has come, tells them to pray to the Lord of the harvest for even more workers in the field. The great harvest needs more laborers! In this passage, we see the workers building from one - the Lord Jesus, to twelve, to seventy or more, but the message of the kingdom of God needs even more workers. Using the farming metaphor, with Israel being an agricultural nation, the Lord conveys the nature of the harvest. It signals the precision of harvest time. And, the crops are ready but the laborers are few. More workers are needed, lest the crops would be lost in the fields.

It is, therefore, an urgent call for more workers, for the fields are ripe and harvest time has come. You and I, we all who now have heard, and receive the true Gospel of Grace, been born again for having been save through grace by faith in Christ Jesus, are being called to the field. We are not called to a building to build "church" of religion. We are called to the church of ripen harvest in the fields. Let us all join in, to spread the Good News of the Kingdom of God, declare healing over the sick and dying world, by the authority and power of the name of Christ Jesus - the Name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11).

Yes, let us declare in every outlet, foremost to those who are in the proximity of our voice and finger tips. Let us declare: Everyone is welcome! Come! Repent by coming in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ and by embracing His holy and written Words. Then surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ by accepting His Lordship. For it is written: “Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.”” (Mark 1:14-15 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
