The Gospel of Luke 6:18-19 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“and they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.” (Luke 6:18-19 KJV).

So often in our state of being God’s children, called as disciples to be fishers of people and laborers for the harvest, we get influenced by the system of religion and tend to adopt their ways. Some tend to think that they have the power to make people better. Not only is this arrogant, but it is also biblically wrong. The best we can hope is to be a conduit of the Lord’s grace. The Lord Jesus is the one who brings healing, not us. The power is in Him. In these passages the multitudes sought to touch Him, for power to come out to heal them all, those that are troubled by bad spirits and the sick. So, as we seek to bless others, let's always remember to rely on the guidance of the Holy Spirit, point them: not to our own work or about us, or to something in the world or about anyone else, but to Christ Jesus our Lord alone. We don't do things based on our judgement and initiative. We do things by the unction of the Lord through His Spirit in us.

This, Apostle Peter affirmed and testify when people looked to him and John after being used as vehicle to manifest healing of a lame man. It is written: “And when Peter saw it he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk? The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him. But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.” (Acts 3:12-16 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
