The Gospel of Luke 6:32 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.” (Luke 6:32 KJV).

In this passage, the Lord Jesus, continuing in His Sermon in the Plain, gives another truth challenging the traditional religious and worldly teaching of love. This flips the world’s concept upturn. He says that it may be easy or perhaps could even be a challenge in some instances to love those who love us back, but there is no credit in doing so. It’s just a natural course of people’s enter-relational collaboration. There’s nothing special about it to draw special attention and merit. It’s just a process of action and reaction between parties - sinners or saints. Good or bad people alike, love those who love them back. And they do it in their own way, not in God’s kind of love.

God’s love expressed in the Love that the Lord Jesus extended to us is unconditional. He loves us even in our state of being His enemy. Even when at a time before we surrender our lives to His love and His grace, He loves us. Right now, whatever and whoever you are, He loves you! Regardless of our actions for and against Him and His Words, He loves us. He loves those Jews, Priests, Pharisees and soldiers that crucified Him. He loves the crowd on the street of Jerusalem that mocked Him. He loves the World! He came to die for the whole world so that those who come into His presence and believe are saved. He loves you and I, who were once His enemy while we were yet running away in sin due to unbelief. The same kind of love we are to manifest with our friends and enemies, alike.

So, now that we are born again through His grace by our faith in Him, we are His. How do we love? We love by surrendering totally ourselves to His love! He is living in us (John 14:20), and the strength of His love reassures us, as it is written: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, apostle Paul exhorts and testifies: “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35-39 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
