When God Says …
“Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.” (Luke 6:22 KJV).
In this world, especially in this hi-tech age, people’s hatred against each other with differences of beliefs and values, have become very clear, ludicrous and unreserved. People just drop the hammer of insults and curses as casually as they would without care. And, that’s done on the web for all the world to swarm on mercilessly. When we are a target of such hate because of Him, the Lord Jesus Christ assured us - who yield to His Lordship, that we are blessed.
This alerts us that following Him may lead to animosity and rejection from other people. In this world, not everyone will accept or agree with our faith in our Creator. Many of them even believe that they're here by chance, as debris from a cosmic explosion. Believing in that, demands more faith than believing in God! But, yet many do, which reflects the enemy's control over this world. They also believe they mutate from some kind of algae, then transitioned as an ape to walk out of the wilderness into civilization to claim the label human kind. No one created them, they say. Granting that is so, that they mutate, why no new mutated being coming out of the forest anymore? What about the algae? It’s part of God’s grand creation. A designer and creator created it, which is actually so. And WE ARE ALL, as it is written the Psalmist declared: “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalms 139:14 NIV).
Yes the world hates you and I, who are born again through grace in Christ Jesus by faith. They excludes us and label us as deplorable. They'll cast us out and call us evil for showing them the truth of the Lord's holy and written Words. That’s not because of us or who we are. It’s because of the holy name of Christ Jesus our Lord who we depend on and surrender our lives to. The religious people then hated the Lord. So, no wonder that the world along with the religious people of today, hated us deeply. For the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, we are hated. And, yes in deed, we are blessed! He is present in our midst. It is written the Lord promised: “... And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:20b ESV).
And, Apostle Paul reminds us with his testimony that we rest in the Lord’s grace: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.” (Galatians 2:20-21 ESV).
And I say, AMEN!
