The Gospel of John 19:17-18 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.” ((John 19:17-18 KJV“).

He went forth! He did not hesitate! The Word, who is our Lord Jesus Christ, stepped down to earth, put on human flesh and moved in our neighborhood to live among us (John 1:1-14). He came full of grace to pay the ransom price and rescue us out of sin and death. He came to be with us, so we can be with Him as we believe in Him. It is so by His death, as He bore all our sins on the cross - past, present and future. Yes, voluntarily He did, not because the priests forced it upon Him. Out of His love, He carried His cross to Golgotha or in Latin Calvary, He let Himself hung on it in between two robbers. [Extra-biblical writings tell us that this place is where King David deposited the head of Goliath that he cut off (1 Samuel 17:51)]. Now, the Lord Jesus Christ, David’s royal descendant in flesh, went forth to this place to be crucified for us all. No one took His life. He gave it. (John 10:18). He was forsaken, so we can be forgiven! That is by believing in Him.

No matter where you have been or what you have done, our Heavenly Father wants you to know that the Lord's grace is close to you and available to you. His grace is all we need. So, you are called to come, let us join in one accord, believe and be born again. Open your heart and proclaim, as it is written: “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”” (Romans 10:8-11 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!

When God says... I say, AMEN! is a provocative reflection of the Lord's holy Word. It intends to challenge every seeker of truth to dig deep into the core of the Word of Life to point every being to Christ Jesus - the author and finisher of our faith, and to draw revelations for change, for nourishment and for strength of every soul.
