The Gospel of John 10:8-9 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:8-9 KJV).

In these passages, the Lord Jesus Christ specially addressed those who came before Him that corrupted the people from God's way. They claim to be teachers and people of titles taking self-appointed roles of authority to regulate the affairs of their religion. Their only goal was to lift up and enrich themselves while oppressing the people under their control. These self-ordained leaders, like these religious Jews, who came before the Lord were only thieves and robbers. They're wolves in sheep's clothing. They deceived and plundered the people, teaching them perverted way of life and salvation through religious dos and don'ts, than by believing in the Messiah. But, of course, His sheep, those who truly seek and the Father chooses (John 6:44), did not hear them.

The Lord Jesus Christ says plainly to us in these texts that He is the only door for salvation. One may ask: salvation for or from what or who? That's salvation from the curse of the world my friend! One may ask: what curse? And, one may add: I have everything the world can offer! All's good! My friend, that's exactly what and who we all need to be saved. That's an illusion of the world. The world and all that's in it pass away! Scriptures say: “The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:17 NIV). And, the Lord Jesus further says: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.” (Matthew 24:35 NIV)

We have a choice to believe in His Words! We can enter the door who is Christ Jesus. Through Him we can enter in and out with freedom in His pasture. In Christ Jesus by faith we are His and the sheep in His pasture, as He alone saved us by His grace. “And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”” (Acts 4:12 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
