“And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.” (John 9:39 KJV)
This passage describes the polarized state of those who can spiritually see versus the spiritually blind, represented respectively, by the once blind beggar who now can see and the religious Pharisees, the Priests, the Sadducees and other religious Jews who have physical eyes that are well yet are blind to see things of God. Those who recognize their need, admit it and seek for the only source to provide their need like this blind beggar, will find and see it. Seek and you shall find, Scriptures assure (Matthew 7:7). He got his sight! The blind man found the Lord Jesus Christ (John 9:1).
Those who are arrogant and presumptive to possess knowledge are hardened, and failed to see the truth in the person of Christ Jesus. They have healthy physical sight, yet are blind in spirit. Their unbelief blinded them from seeing the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 4:4). They can't understand it for they don't want to understand it (John 7:17).
Hence, by the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, judgement comes into this world. “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”” (John 3:19-21 ESV)
And I say, AMEN!
