The Gospel of John 9:30-33 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.” (John 9:30-33 KJV).

This is such a profound declaration of a man who has just for the first time saw the light to truly mingle with people and participate in the hustle and bustle under the light of day. The unlearned vs the 'learned', demonstrated a better grasp of divine things than the whole council of the Pharisees, Priests and Sadducees. No one can do the miracle that has just been performed restoring his sight. Yes, indeed, apart from God, man can do nothing, as scripture said: “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”” (Matthew 19:26 NIV).

Our God is an awesome God, as this now seeing blind man affirmed. The Lord Jesus Christ was present at creation, “He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” (John 1:2-3 NIV). He is the Miracle Worker. In Him nothing is impossible. As His sons and daughters, let's rest in His grace by faith. He said to the once barren woman Sarah. “Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, about this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.”” (Genesis 18:14 ESV).

And I say, AMEN!
