The Gospel of Luke 8:17 When God Says...I Say, AMEN!

When God Says …

“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” (Luke 8:17 KJV).

From the mouth of the Person of Truth, this passage reveals to us who seeks the truth, a profound reality and truth, all is laid bare. "Nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light". That’s how penetrating and powerful is the peering eyes of the Word of truth. The WORD of Truth is Christ Jesus our Lord! (John 1:1-14). He sees who and what we are. He is God, the Omniscient! (Psalm 139:1-4). Hence, the Lord Jesus makes it clear that no matter how hard one tries to keep something hidden - especially "dark secrets", the truth always has a way of coming to the surface, as the Light of the world (John 8:12) shines brighter in the dark.

This passage highlights the all-knowing nature of God, assuring us that nothing is truly hidden from Him. This also points to the future day of judgment where all hidden things, both good and bad, will be exposed and brought into the light (Ecclesiastes 12:13). It underscores the all-encompassing nature of the Lord’s knowledge and authority. As children of God in Christ Jesus, we are called to embrace the truth and live in liberty and freedom through grace by faith in Him. We have the Lord’s resounding promise. It is written: “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32 KJV).

And I say, AMEN!
